Purpose Tutoring is a growing tutoring company that helps students build clarity, confidence, and stronger academic performance through highly personalized one-on-one support. We work with students in subjects such as math, science, writing, SAT/ACT prep, and more, and we are focused on matching families with tutors who are the right fit for their needs.

As our team grows, we are looking for a part-time Social Media Manager who can help us grow our brand online, attract the right audience, and convert attention into real client inquiries.

About the Role

This is a part-time role for someone who is skilled in social media growth, understands how to create content that connects with parents and students, and knows how to turn social media traffic into actual leads.

This is not just a content posting role. We are looking for someone who understands how to use social media as a tool for marketing, trust-building, and client acquisition.

What You Will Do

As a Social Media Manager for Purpose Tutoring, you may:

  • Plan and manage content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as needed

  • Create or coordinate engaging content that reflects the Purpose Tutoring brand

  • Write captions and calls to action designed to drive inquiries

  • Help grow our audience with intentional content strategy

  • Identify content opportunities tied to tutoring, parenting, education, private schools, academic success, study skills, SAT/ACT prep, and related topics

  • Repurpose long-form ideas into short-form content

  • Track performance and identify what is leading to actual inquiries

  • Help improve conversion from social media traffic into contact form submissions or booked consultations

  • Collaborate on promotional campaigns, seasonal pushes, tutor spotlights, testimonials, educational tips, and brand-building content

  • Help maintain a consistent and professional online presence

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and what performs well on them

  • Experience growing accounts, increasing engagement, and improving reach

  • Experience helping a business generate leads or clients through social media

  • Strong writing instincts and the ability to create clear, compelling messaging

  • Good visual judgment and a strong sense of branding

  • Reliability, responsiveness, and consistency

  • The ability to understand a brand voice and execute it well

  • A results-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience marketing tutoring, education, coaching, or other service-based businesses

  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, or similar tools

  • Experience with basic analytics and reporting

  • Experience editing short-form video

  • Experience writing copy designed to generate inquiries

  • Familiarity with organic growth strategies

  • Familiarity with paid social campaigns is a plus

Position Details

  • Remote preferred, though Charlotte-based candidates may be especially helpful for local content opportunities
