Between sessions, I review drafts and leave comments. I can also be added as a reviewer in the student’s Common App account so that feedback is streamlined.

2. Essay Essentials Package (1:1)

Best for: Students who already like writing or have limited time, but want expert help with direction and polish.

What is included:

  • 1 meeting: Common App overview and topic brainstorming

  • 1 meeting: Outline and first draft feedback

  • 1 meeting: Final revision and polishing

You will also receive written comments on drafts between sessions.

3 one-on-one sessions, 60 minutes each

3. Small Group Essay Workshop Series

Best for: Students who learn well alongside peers and families who want a more affordable option.

Format:

A 4 week series, capped at 4 students:

  • Week 1: What colleges look for, Common App overview, brainstorming exercises

  • Week 2: Structure and first drafts, examples and guided writing

  • Week 3: Revision strategies, voice, and clarity

  • Week 4: Final polish, supplements strategy, Q&A

Students get clear homework between sessions and are encouraged to share drafts for feedback. Parents can receive a summary at the end.

How The Process Works

  3. Book your sessions through our website
    You get a special scheduling link for essay clients so we can lock in consistent meeting times.

  4. Draft, revise, and refine together
    I guide your student through each step, with clear action items between sessions.

  5. Final review and confidence check
    We make sure the essay is polished, on time, and truly represents who your student is.

How Sessions Work

  • Location: In-Person at third party location, your home, or online

  • Length: 60 minutes per session

  • Format: Conversation, guided brainstorming, shared documents, and live editing

  • Common App access: With your permission, I can be added as a “reviewer” in the student’s Common App account to leave comments directly on drafts.

  • No. I help students discover strong topics, structure their ideas, and revise their own writing. The voice and content are always the student’s.

  • Many families begin in the spring of junior year or early summer before senior year. I also work with seniors who are already in the middle of the process.

  • Yes. The Comprehensive Package includes supplements strategy. For students who need intensive help with many supplements, we can discuss a custom add on.

  • That is very common. I break the process into manageable steps and help students build a realistic schedule, so they are not trying to write everything in one weekend.

  • I work with students in Charlotte and online, so I can support students in other cities as well.
